MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A new enterprise hopes to have persons soaring high in downtown Memphis throughout the Wolf River Harbor at Mud Island.

The Forge Memphis offered its program Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, to the town council for a $10 million privately-funded experience study course for Mud Island. They explained they would not have to have incentives from the governing administration for the job.

The individuals behind the project stated it would be part of The Forge Journey Parks, which has a very similar attraction outside Chicago, Illinois. The Memphis attraction would incorporate a Skybridge Zipline Tour, an aerial problem training course and climbing areas, foods and beverage places, and additional. 

They claimed the Skybridge Tour would have two ziplines – just one carrying people 500 feet up above the Wolf River Harbor towards the Memphis skyline, with a tower and rope bridge. The other would carry people about a quarter of a mile more than the Wolf River Harbor at up to 50 mph, landing near the Mississippi River model’s Gulf of Mexico on Mud Island.
