With the Christmas holiday just a little more than three months away plenty of singles, couples and families are making plans to spend part of the season in Honolulu, or any of the Hawaiian Islands. The good news is the airlines expect this uptick in travel and have started to work on adding flights to their schedules to make sure you can get a flight that works in your schedule.
Continental Airlines recently announced they will be adding an additional daily non-stop flight from Houston to Honolulu. This increases the total number of direct flights from Houston to Honolulu to three. The new flight will start of December 17th, will depart Houston each afternoon around 3:00 PM and will arrive in Honolulu just before seven. Note, all times are local.
Meanwhile the folks at Air Canada will be giving residents of that country plenty of opportunities to get away from the cold and ice for a holiday this winter. Air Canada has announced they will add new direct service from Calgary to Honolulu, with connections also available in Vancouver B.C. The major metropolitan airport in Vancouver already has several flight options if you are looking to travel to Honolulu or Maui. The new Calgary flights will include three weekly trips to Maui and two to Honolulu.
And while these are the two carriers that have made the first moves in adding Honolulu flight service for this Christmas, they won’t be the last. If you are even considering a Christmas season getaway to any resort destination you should start looking at flight options now. There are several online sites that can help you track different flight schedules and fares based on your departure date and party size.
