Man on the run after ramming Englewood police cruiser

ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Englewood Police are trying to find a suspect immediately after a man rammed his motor vehicle into a law enforcement cruiser, heavily detrimental the auto.

At 1:30 a.m. Monday morning, an officer was examining on a car parked at the Hampton Inn on Rockridge Road. The motor vehicle had its headlights on, and the officer thought it to be unoccupied.

The officer parked powering the automobile and walked up to knock on the window of the car or truck, a sergeant with the Englewood Law enforcement Section stated. At this position, the officer seen the motor vehicle contained a male driver with a woman passenger.

The gentleman driving set the car or truck into reverse, regularly hitting the police cruiser till it was no for a longer time blocking him into the parking good deal. Once the cruiser was out of the way, the suspect fled the scene.

In accordance to the Englewood Law enforcement Office, the law enforcement cruiser was too destroyed to give chase. Neither of the two officers on the scene was wounded in the incident.

Detectives are at present doing work to determine the driver.
