For my students in day game, I have one core message. In the daytime, you have to avoid looking like a creeper/stalker/mass murderer 100 times more than at a club where creepy douchebag behavior is expected. If you are at a supermarket and you open set after set after set like in a club, you look like one of the aforementioned scumbags. And security will chase you or send you a letter like this guy who is on one of the PUA forums…
am sending you this because we have received reports of your borderline sexual misconduct involving female students here at UCLA. We have been notified multiple times by several females that your actions make them feel uncomfortable. Our members have noticed you bothering female freshmen at the Ackerman Student Union. We have records of your previous write-ups and want you to know that if any other incidents occur, necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of our students. These measures may include: expulsion, incarceration, and/or mandatory psychological counseling.
We have our students’ best interests in mind and have a zero tolerance policy for harassment.
Here’s the funny thing. This letter was fake. A few female students got together and created this letter to police him themselves. Here’s how miscalibrated this poor fool is. He decided to continue going out trying to pick up the exact same way again and again after getting this letter. Ummmm he missed the point.
Guys. Day game is different. In one venue you can open 1-3 sets before the security guards come after you or the clerks report you. This is not night game where you have 20 sets to open. Everyone can see and feel your vibe. YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOOK LIKE A PICK UP ARTIST. Because if you do, you will be reported to the police. CALIBRATE YOUR ENVIRONS. Imagine you were a security guard at a venue/grocery store/farmer’s market/Starbucks and they see you talk to a woman for 2 minutes and get a number. Then talk to another woman. And the next. In your brain you would imagine that you are going to be a hero when you stop this guy from making a skin costume of the ladies in his dungeon basement after telling them, “It puts the lotion on the skin.”
You have 1-2 two opens per place, and that’s IT. The mall may be different because there are spread out locations. But CALIBRATE against looking like a stalker or a creep.
At the 2010 PUA summit we took this to the extreme. Vince Kelvin had set up a day game workshop at the Hollywood and Highland mall and unleashed all the VIP and Platinum guys out into the mall all at once. The women who were opened more than once? Creeped out. “ARE YOU ONE OF THOSE PICK UP ARTISTS?” Vince had obviously done this at this mall before. Or these women had been opened before.
Student after student told me, “Yeah, I tried but these girls in Hollywood are so hard.” Of course they are they have been gamed to death of their ability to be open with guys with skills when pua instructors and groups go out en masse like this! The 5 students who came out with me for the day game bootcamp all had 3 opens (I limited them to prevent creeper mode) and 1 guy ended up on an instant date with a model, another guy used his brand new, “Can you tell me where Michael Jackson’s star is? Good, let’s have a date, you take me there” gambit and number closed and instadated an extremely attractive woman, and the other 3 had success opening and hooking sets (but weren’t aware of transitions). 1 hour wasn’t enough to teach them. But the bottom line was teaching day game is more about teaching anti-creepy, anti-pua behavior than it is about the gambits. Douchebags dress up like a pua at daytime and open millions of sets, and attract security guards and cameras.
That’s why the dojo for social training is the club. You CAN talk to lots of women there and get your skills down. No matter what a guy says, day game makes learning conversation with women take MUCH LONGER because you only have at most 3 sets per venue before being kicked out. At the club you could have up to 20 sets and end up being the cool socially proofed guy. Also, I couldn’t hear one word the students were saying at a point. Standing 5 feet away from a student’s convo creates a creepy tension too! I had to be 10-20 feet away to remain incognito.
Learn social arts in the club first. Then during the day learn too, but don’t think it’s the club. 1-3 sets per venue then move on. And befriend security or the cops to make it less creepy.
Addendum: In the end the guy on RSH found out the email was a fraud and not from Campus Police. However, it shows that someone found his actions creepy (Creepy enough to make a fake mail from security), and that several people on campus conspired to tell him to step off. Same thing. And there are some fools on that forum CHEERING HIM ON for getting kicked out of a venue because it proves he’s improving his game. Guffaw steer clear from that advice:)
