The mask mandate for planes and public transportation that was supposed to end next week is now extended until May 3, but travel agencies still predict busy spring travel seasons. With the BA.2 sub-variant driving up COVID-19 numbers, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wants travelers to continue to wear masks.With Massachusetts and New Hampshire April vacation weeks around the corner, travel experts said warm destinations are popular.“We’re seeing, I believe, Florida, Hawaii and Mexico travel bookings are up over 200% since last year,” said Dan Godman, of AAA Northern New England. If you are traveling, the advice from AAA is to plan ahead as much as you can and book as early as possible.
